Q-Once, you are there, what would you do to stay on the top?                                                                                    Audrey Silver:  That question assumes that I am on the top!  From where I stand, though, it seems like it takes a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication to your craft and to the business of the music business.

Q-And if luck turns against you?                                                                             Audrey Silver:  Luck changes all the time.  You lose a great gig, get turned down for a record deal … but you never know where your loss will lead you.  I’ve gone back to the drawing board on many an occasion and found a better gig or was spurred on to make a huge stride in my singing.  Changing luck is always an opportunity.  It just depends on how you look at it.

Q-The best idea you ever came up with?                                                                Audrey Silver:  Signing up for my first jazz ensemble class at The 92nd Street Y.  That’s how I made the leap from shower singer to performer

Q-What makes Audrey Silver so different from other sparkling stars?              Audrey Silver: Everyone is unique.  My theory about musicians is that their individual personalities are communicated by every note they play or sing.

Q-What is the most pleasant sound to your ears?                                                Audrey Silver:  The sound of joy….whether it’s communicated through song, speech, laughter.  Sorry if that’s a little maudlin!

Q-And the most beautiful site to your eyes?                                                         Audrey Silver:  My 10-year-old son.

Q-What do you fear most in life?                                                                              Audrey Silver:  Waste.  Time wasted not cherishing the moment, not improving as a musician, not relishing my friends and family.
