The prize will provide $4,000 toward the publication of a Ph.D dissertation relating to Jewish life in Israel or America from 1880 to the present. Applicants must have completed their dissertations and have a commitment for publication from an academic or university press. The Sidney and Hadassah Musher Publication Prize has been awarded on a biannual basis since 1992 and will be awarded in 2003, based on the recommendations of the Academic Advisory Committee of the National Foundation for Jewish Culture.
