Quinn Lemley will perform as Rita Hayworth in “The Heat is On” A Life in Concert at BB King Blues Club, on Tuesday, July 25th at 8 PM, 237 West 42^nd St. in New York City, $25 Admission. An 11 piece big band will accompany Lemley. The show is written and directed by Carter Inskeep (Always, Patsy Cline). Sultry and sexy, Quinn Lemley bears more than a passing resemblance to screen siren Rita Hayworth.  She celebrates the life, loves and career of The Love Goddess; music, and the Golden Age of Hollywood; including her illustrious marriages to Orson Welles, Prince Aly Khan; her turbulent relationship with movie mogul, Harry Cohn, head of Columbia Pictures and co-stars, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire & Howard Hughes. The 90 minute show celebrates the music of Hayworth’s films & life with standards arranged by Tedd Firth with original orchestrations by Bob McDowell (Swingtime Canteen): Put The Blame on Mame, The Lady Is A Tramp, S’Wonderful, Bewitched, Amado Mio, Long Ago & Far Away, Zip, I’m Old Fashioned, Steppin’ Out.
