Rabbi Tovia Singer is a modern Bernard Shaw Jewish philosophico-satirico-politico know-how media genius. He is funny, bright, young, very handsome, sharp and your kind of a media sparkling personality. Tovia had a brilliant idea. But not all brilliant ideas shine. Tovia's one did! So what did he do? Along with Rachelle Bronfman, he put a sparkling idea-vision into motion and co-created one of the world's most successful, provocative and compelling Israeli/Jewish radio shows: THE TOVIA SINGER SHOW which he launched with Bronfman in January of 2002 on Israel National Radio. Well-informed insiders claim that Singer's show " is the brainchild of Torontonian Rachelle Bronfman, who used her own funds to start the program, which continues to be funded entirely through private donations. “I was sick of the bias against Israel in the media...The media is so critical of Israel – every time Israel does something to defend itself, it gets criticized.”, said Bronfman. So, along with Tovia Singer, Bronfman decided to launch and finance a radio show to provide a well-documented counterbalance to the anti-Israel rhetoric. Despite her lack of experience in broadcasting, Bronfman decided to go full steam with her project and bring to the world one of the most informative, entertaining and authoritative Jewish shows on the air. Thus, Bronfman rented a studio and began to learn the ropes and how to produce a radio show. It was tough at the beginning, rich in ideas and principles but short on contributors. But, now, Bronfman has 23 people working for the program. “I felt I had to do something to try and make a difference, so this is what I’ve chosen to do.”, explained Rachelle Bronfman. And finally, the efforts of Bronfman metamorphosed into an international success. True! the show has gained an international recognition and captured the interest of a world-wide audience. The Tovia Singer Show attracts listeners from the five corners the world. And listeners are calling from countries as far as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Australia and Bahrain.
