New York Monthly Herald. May Issue. Continued from P. 1You explain your situation to him. And on Thursday morning, Rabbi Wiener begins to contact people who can help you. He makes telephone calls, he sends e-mails, he arranges meetings or interviews with people who can give you a helping hand, find you a job, even provide temporary relief, while he is still searching for other possibilities, options and opportunities for you. He will help you even though, he never met you before, or heard your name in his congregation. This is the RABBI par excellence. Rabbi Wiener escorted the Torah on Sunday, October 24, 2004, in a gala in Brooklyn from the Russian Community of Brighton Beach to the Hebrew Alliance, F.R.E.E. When the Nazis invaded Riga, Abraham Dovidov fled to Russia with the Torah scrolls. After the war, he returned to Latvia. He continued his practice of taking out the Torah scrolls only for prayer services on the Shabbat, and then hiding it. When he passed away, his children brought the Torah to the United States and was received and escorted by Rabbi Moshe Wiener and Rabbi Okunov. * Lotus Notes Application Development, which helps qualify students for jobs such as Systems Analyst, Lotus Notes Developer, System Administrator and Applications Developer. Classes begin shortly and there is limited space available. Intensive employment counseling and job search assistance will be made available to all students. For more information, your readers can contact our vocational training department at 718-449-5000 extension 6. Thank you in advance for sharing this information with your readers and thereby offering them an opportunity to improve their future. Sincerely, Rabbi Moshe Wiener, Executive Director.
